‘Kaki’ means friend.

I chose this name to represent my philosophy as a therapist.

You and I share a common humanity as fellow travellers in this life.

I hope to be a supportive companion who helps you find your feet.

Originally, ‘kaki’ meant ‘feet’ in Malay and my own in Hokkien.

The fusion of these two languages to form a new meaning of ‘friend/buddy/mate’, beautifully symbolises the cultural and relational framework I use in therapy.

We are an amalgamation of the cultures and relationships we experience.

We borrow from one another; we influence each other.

And together, we can make new meaning.

Confronting our humanity is tough,

but you don't have to do it alone.
